About VisionMetric

Founded in April 1998, VisionMetric is a University spin-out company specialising in automated image analysis and facial biometrics. VisionMetric received a DTI 'Smart Award' for innovative technology in 1999 for the development of facial biometric methods.

Our current activities are focussed on the development of automated crime-prevention/detection systems and fraud prevention techniques. VisionMetric is currently working closely with The Kent County Constabulary to implement some of these methods. The company also provide bespoke software and image analysis services. Strong links exist with research departments at The University of Kent and Imperial College, London.
